Help our good friend Mark win this competition, I think The Shins would be silly not to pick this design because it’s amazingly good…. who doesn’t like pipe-smoking whales!

We Heart Arts 2012 Partnerships

It is with much joy that I can now officially announce our first partnership of 2012. As you’re aware (or if you’re new to the WHA world are not aware) We Heart Arts partners up with organisations wherever needed to help promote, create awareness of and/or fund young persons programs.  Our first partnership of 2012 is with The Unit  who are local to ourselves. In the past we have used artist prints, charity singles, gigs and more to raise awareness and funds for a children’s photography program in Romania and supplying instruments to two schools.

To continue our work and to try something different this time around with The Unit we have produced a run of T-Shirts designed by the wonderfully talented Mark Gamble that are up for pre-order until January 31st 2012. We are pleased to announce that £8 from each shirt will go directly to The Unit.

As always we need your help to spread the word so please tell all your friends and together we can make the world a little better for ourselves and the generations below us <3

YAY!

THE HEALTHY ONE (the music video) premiered on BROOKLYN VEGAN last night.

We had a lot of fun making this video. It only took one take. We filmed it on Dave’s couch, and then he cleaned everything up and edited the footage.

We hope you like it! REBLOG/RETWEET!

Everyone here at We Heart Arts loves discovering new bands.  Our band discovery of today is “These Days”

Here’s a sneaky peek at one of the pages from the book

Hi everyone,

We are about 1/3 of the way through the pre-order campaign for A Mountain Lullaby and we’d like to thank everyone that has pre-ordered so far. We are excited to say that we have so far raised £380!!

As a thank you we thought we’d give you all a sneaky look at one of the pages from the book (page two).

We’d love it if you could all re-blog this/like this and share it with your friends, remember that for every ten books we sell a school with be given a copy for free… and that’s a very good thing :)

Here’s a quick (poor resolution) photo of the test prints we had made of the shirts, we’re looking forward to being able to send these out with the pre-orders!

Hello!

Hello to all of the wonderful people that read our blog, this is just a quick entry about the We Heart Arts charity children’s book event page.

Did you know that if each of you pre-ordered the book we would be able to give away free copies to schools? I’m sure the schools that would receive the book would be grateful.

Now we have never spammed our blog readers before with buy now, buy now, buy now messages and we never will but I thought now (as we are about 1/3 of the way through the pre-order period) would be as good a time as any to drop you all a message and include the pre-order page link (just in case anyone did want to pre-order the book).

Hopefully we have put together some neat pre-order packages that you’ll all like.

http://weheartarts.bigcartel.com/

Please come and say hi to us too, in this digital age sometimes we forget about actually having conversations and we here at We Heart Arts would actually like to get to know all of you personally :)

Until next time,

Tony

Rawrr!

Who loves dinosaurs? We LOVE dinosaurs, we love them even more when they are proud of being nerdy and read books on evolution. We found a Nerdosaur and you can wear him on your chests if you pick up one of our new tee-shirts as part of the pre-order packages for our children’s book (and for every 10 books sold we will donate a book for free to a school… and that’s a very nice thing :)

Here’s a picture of the shirt, we really hope you love them as much as we do!

It’s time to tell you all about our new project!

Hello friends old and new,

I’m writing this on a chilly evening at We Heart Arts HQ to the wonderful sounds of Sigur Rós.

It’s been a little while since we’ve blogged anything and I apologise for this however the reason why we’ve been so quiet is that we have been busy working hard behind the scenes.

Today we can announce that our new project is called “A Mountain Lullaby” and is our first ever children’s book!  The book is based on the song of the same name by our good friend and longtime We Heart Arts supporter Jordan o’ Jordan. This project however cannot happen without your help.

We Heart Arts has always worked hard to make sure that you get something back for your donations and “A Mountain Lullaby” is no different. Even at the most basic level of donation you will get your own copy of this book (and at the highest level of donation you get an iPod). The best part about this project however is that for every ten books sold we will donate a copy of the book for free to a school.

All the information you could ever want or need can be found atwww.amountainlullaby.com including details of all the wonderful packages you can get for pre-ordering.

This is such an exciting project for us and hopefully for all of our friends too.

Help children embrace imagination!

Check out this fantastic crowd-funding project that my friends at We Heart Arts have put together!

They’re raising money to create a children’s book. A copy of this could potentially be delivered free to all UK schools, and they need your help to make it happen!

Its aim is to ignite a passion for creativity in kids, which is undoubtedly an essential part of education.

As is the way with crowd-funding, you can earn cool rewards when you help out!

You can find out more about this young people’s creative organisation here, and visit the crowd-funder here!
